Here in the ASC, tutoring is one of the primary services we provide to help students succeed with the DeVry curriculum. It is our pleasure to introduce you to Martina Smith, one of the many students who has found success by tapping into this valuable resource. Martina has been visiting the ASC since the first day of the term. She is one of the many non-traditional students here at DeVry who, with children at home, finds the ASC "a quiet place to study and exchange ideas." Of her tutoring experience, she says that the "tutors make it a personal goal to help [me]." As she made it a habit to visit the ASC, she found that even if she was not receiving individual tutoring, there was always help available when she had a question with an assignment in any of her courses. By the end of the semester, Martina gained enough confidence to help her classmates with their studies. Through hard work and perseverance, she has brought her grade point average sky-high.
